Tech for good...

Finally someone is being proactive!

It was a real pleasure to listen to this episode with the hardfork team.

Cloudfare is a company - if you hadn’t heard of it before - through which roughly 20% of all worldwide internet traffic flows through. They basically protect the companies that don't have big IT depts from attacks. You might have encountered it a few times when browsing sites. Very legit tool.

But now they are taking the lead in bringing back the power to content creators in a really cool way... but what is also cool they can now have the power to punish - and I mean really punish - AI companies that scrape content without paying for it.

How? By feeding the AI companies that don't behave well to content creators with trillions of garbage data points so that the AI system of these internet crawlers become absolutely terrible (the AI system would not know what is good or bad data so would make it part of it's engine... and once it is in good luck taking it out/retraining it).

Absolutely in love with this approach and a great example of how good leadership looks like in an age of profits at all costs.
